Safety Tips for 4th of July

The Fourth of July is a wonderful time to spend with friends and family. However, the loud cracks and pops from the fireworks can be terrifying for many pets. Each year, animal shelters take in more animals on July 5th than any other day of the year. Unfortunately, many animals will get spooked and run away from their homes and loved ones.

Please help your pets stay calm and safe by:

1) Keeping them in a safe and secure room in your home during fireworks.

2) Keeping the doors and windows shut so your pets cannot run off

3) Getting your pet microchipped and registered in case they go missing during the festivities

Lastly, if your pet has a pre-existing noise phobia and you are concerned that your pet may injury him or herself, please ask us about some gentle calming medications that can help your pet cope with these stressful events.

We wish you a Happy 4th and hope your pets stay happy and healthy through the holidays!
