Our Staff

Lexington Animal Hospital is proud of our professional and courteous staff!

We have deep veterinary experience and a passion for animals.  We would love to meet you.

Dr. Meghan Ryan, VMD

I'm Dr. Meghan Ryan. I was raised in Arlington, VA and received my undergraduate degree in Biology from Georgetown University in 2006. I attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2010. I completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Regional Veterinary Referral Hospital in Springfield, VA, where I developed a love of emergency medicine.

Since completing my internship, I have worked as both a general practitioner and an emergency veterinarian in New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. I love surgery, internal medicine, dentistry and emergency medicine, as well as building relationships with my patients and their families. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Blue Ridge Veterinary Medical Association.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband David, daughters Anna, Kate, and Emily, and son Danny as we fix up a 125+ year old farm house and farm near Buena Vista. I have 3 dogs:  Gil (pug), Abigail (Anatolian), and Willow (golden retriever) and 3 cats: Cluckster, Cuddles, and Booger. Our farm is also home to a small herd of Highland cattle and a dozen heritage chickens. I love all outdoor activities, especially kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, cross country skiing, and hiking with my dogs.

Dr. Mollie Fox, DVM

Hi, my name is Dr. Mollie Fox, but I usually go by Dr. Mollie. My parents say that I had wanted to be a vet since I was 3 years old. With that goal in mind, I graduated with a B.S. in Biology  from Virginia Tech in 1999, and in 2002, I received my DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia tech. In 2008, I became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. After practicing in small animal private practices in Georgia, Florida, and Texas, I was thrilled to have moved back home to southwest Virginia in 2015. I started working for Dr. Carls at Lexington Animal Hospital in 2015, and was happy to continue working regular relief for Dr. Ryan when she bought the practice in 2017.

My furry family includes Sgt. Tibbs, the cat who enjoys wrestling with my husband, and Tag, my eager to please schnauzer-poodle mix that loves to tag along on adventures. When not working, my favorite things to do include skiing, hiking, and kayaking with my three boys. I am proud to work at Lexington Animal Hospital because we practice an excellent quality of medicine provided in a caring and compassionate environment. I hope I get to meet you soon!

Dr. Rachael Kleidon, DVM

Dr. Kleidon grew up in the beautiful hills of Northern California and is ecstatic that her family was given the opportunity to move to the gorgeous Blue Ridge mountains of Lexington.  After graduating summa cum laude from UC San Diego in 2004 with a BS in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience, she moved to Massachusetts to fulfill her dream of becoming a veterinarian.  She received her DVM from Tufts University in 2009 and then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at NEAMC in the Boston area in 2010.  She and her husband then moved to northern New Hampshire where she worked at a great small animal practice for 13 years, the last decade of which she was proud to have been Chief of Staff.

She is very excited to have the opportunity to form new relationships here in Lexington at a practice that values compassionate high-quality veterinary medicine.  While she loves all stages of our companion animal's lives, she has an extra special place in her heart for older patients who need some extra help staying comfortable as arthritis and other age-related ailments begin to take hold.  One of the greatest loves of her life was her beloved black Labrador Sammy, who joined her on many backpacking and ocean swimming adventures over his amazing 16-year lifespan; she wishes she had all the tools now available to us to have helped him move with greater ease in those last few years.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Kleidon loves spending time with her husband and daughter, hiking, camping and swimming.  As an avid water polo player in high school and college, she is very excited to support the VMI Women's Water Polo team and to finally get to show her daughter that there truly are no horses involved.

Dr. Kleidon very much looks forward to meeting you and your furry loved one and working together to keep them as happy and healthy as possible!

Hali Clubb - Lead Receptionist

Hello, my name is Hali Clubb. I was born in Canada and moved to Rockbridge County in 2008. I graduated RCHS in 2017, after which I did a lot of traveling (mainly back to Canada). I moved back to Lexington in 2019 when I started working at Lexington Animal Hospital. I started off as a veterinary assistant and am now working in reception. Occasionally, you’ll still see me running around helping in the back. If you know me, you may have heard me being referred to as the “crazy cat lady.” My coworkers will tell you if I go missing in the middle of the day, that you can find me cuddling your cats! I adore cats and have two of my own (Twister and Mocha Bean). Outside of work, I love to go ice skating, read books, travel, and go horse back riding when I have the chance!

Alley Lobdell

Animal Hospital and LOVE getting to meet all of you and all your fur babies! I have a few animals of my own. 4 dogs Tripp, Mac, Tacoma, and Paisley. I also have one cat, Ki. Outside of work, I enjoy going
kayaking with my family, going to live music with my boyfriend, and walking around and feeding ducks at the park.

David Ryan

David is from Duncannon, a small Appalachian Trail town in Pennsylvania.  He left home for "travel and adventure" in the Army shortly after 9/11, and now works for Devil's Backbone Outpost in Lexington, VA.  Growing up he had a lab and a German Shepherd, but has graduated from that to a veterinarian wife, 3 daughters, 1 son, 3 dogs, and 3 mousers.   You'll find him in the hospital on evenings and weekends, trying to help out and not break things.
